PLANNING FOR THE SENIOR YEARS SEMINAR
October 13 will be “An Expert Guide to Planning for the Senior Years” Seminar hosted by GCR. This seminar will have experts to provide information for individuals from ages 40 to retirement and what they need to be aware of as they age and need caregivers. There will be classes on Wills, Power of Attorneys, Assisted Living Facilities, Financial Assistance, Alzheimer and Dementia, Medicare, Hospice Care, Funeral Planning and much more. For more information contact Galen Bock. Sign-up today: at the Welcome Center or online at http://gcrchurch.com/events/senior-years-seminar
CLOTHE THE COMMUNITY
Clothe the Community is an opportunity for GCR to bless hundreds of local families by providing them with clothing, toys and equipment for their babies and children. Throughout the week of September 23-29, we will be sorting, organizing, displaying and distributing over 10,000 items free of charge. This event benefits foster families and other families in need who are referred by local nonprofits and churches.
Volunteers are still needed – there are a variety of ways to help! Signup online at: http://gcrchurch.com/clothethecommunity
For more information contact Amber Weems at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We are excited to have 2,500 people at GCR again for this event. We look forward to the opportunity to show people that we are a welcoming church that cares about them and is all about changed lives. The Harvest Party is also a great time to very intentionally invite people back to GCR who may not have a church home or are looking to find one.
There will be some new pieces to the Harvest party happening this year we are extremely excited about. You will notice that some things will stay the same, like an amazing trunk or treat! But this year we are also including a show for kids and adults in the auditorium featuring a professional magician.
Here are the big 3 that we want to accomplish through the Harvest Party. We are going to have a lot of guests and we want to:
2.Showcase GCR and the amazing things God is doing
3.Invite them back for worship and other intentional events.
To accomplish this we need “all hands on deck” – lots of volunteers and lots of candy. Check out the website for more information or talk to Jason Allen to see how you can help.
