MERGE (5th-6th grades)
Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am for class. Wednesday nights start at 6:15pm with free food, worship, and class starting at 6:50pm.

There is a Merge event this Sunday, October 14 from 5:00-7:00pm at Fiddlestick Farms. This is a family event for parents and siblings to join the Merge students, however, if they are not able to come, drop off your Merge students for some fun. Cost is $5.00 a person and dinner is not included. So feel free to come with some food or order some food separately at the events (suggestion is $7.00 for food if you’re eating there.) We will have a fantastic smores bar at our campfire site.

YOUTH (7th-12th grades)
We hope to see our students on Sundays and Wednesdays at the Mix! Reach out to friends or students you haven’t seen in a while and let’s have a great year!

On October 21, we will have a separate Girls and Guys hangout. The girls will be painting pumpkins, snacking on some foods, and have a devo at the Allen house (3204 Durant Dr) from 4:00-5:30pm. The guys will be having a fire night and turn on the football game at a location TBD from 6:30-8:00pm. Both of these events are for grades 7th-12th.

GCR is hosting Family Promise again October 21-28. Family promise is an organization that provides housing and support for homeless families in Midland. We need your help to provide meals during the week. We also need volunteers that are willing to stay at the church overnight. Please sign up in the rotunda today. Or you can sign up online at Just search Contact Allison or Justin Brown or Wes or Carrie Gotcher with any questions.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast meets each Tuesday morning at 6:30am in Room 100.
Men’s Morning Watch meets each Thursday morning at 6:30am in Room 100.

We are excited to have 2,500 people at GCR again for this event.  We look forward to the opportunity to show people that we are a welcoming church that cares about them and is all about changed lives.  The Harvest Party is also a great time to very intentionally invite people back to GCR who may not have a church home or are looking to find one.
There will be some new pieces to the Harvest party happening this year we are extremely excited about.  You will notice that some things will stay the same, like an amazing trunk or treat!  But this year we are also including a show for kids and adults in the auditorium featuring a professional magician.
Here are the big 3 that we want to accomplish through the Harvest Party.  We are going to have a lot of guests and we want to:
1. Be welcoming
2.Showcase GCR and the amazing things God is doing
3.Invite them back for worship and other intentional events.
To accomplish this we need “all hands-on deck” – lots of volunteers and lots of candy.  Check out the website for more information or talk to Jason Allen to see how you can help.

Kick for Kenya is scheduled for November 10 in the GCR Parking Lot.  For more information contact or to sign up go to their website
