ONE TO ONE TUTORING
1 to 1 Tutoring is a valuable and growing ministry that partners local churches with schools to provide students with access to a resource that is greatly needed, but often cost prohibitive.
Each Tuesday afternoon, volunteers from GCR meet in the Lee High School Library to help students with their schoolwork. As the program continues to expand, we are in need of tutors in ALL subjects! You do not have to be an expert…the only requirement is basic knowledge of a subject, and a willingness to help students study or complete assignments. We are also in need of volunteers to provide food each week. This is a great opportunity to get to know some amazing young people and show our support for the teachers and counselors who invest so much in the lives of our local youth. Sign up in the South Rotunda, or contact Valerie Tinker for more information.
Food trucks are returning to the GCR campus! Beginning this Tuesday, October 17, we will once again be hosting food trucks in our parking lot on a weekly basis. Vendors will be available from 11:00am-2:00pm for lunch. Seating will be available inside and outside, weather permitting. Plan to stop by for lunch, and take some time to visit with Lee High School students and staff, as well as our friends and neighbors from the community.
